Creating Christmas traditions is a favorite part of the holidays. Since we’ve had children, we have gifted them a book every Christmas Eve. As we close down the day, we all curl up on the couch for one last festivity. They open their package and are delighted to find another Christmas book to add to our collection. We read them together before bedtime prayers and kisses.
To keep these books special, they get put away after Christmas. Then, each year when December comes around, we get out the special box that holds our literary Christmas treasures. For the entire month, we read and reread the stories as we celebrate the season.
Below, I have listed some of our Christmas favorites. My children are currently in the little years, so these are perfect for ages 6 and under.
